The Residential Community Councils (RCC's) are the foundation of IRHA. They provide the publicity, organization, and act in many ways as the eyes and ears of IRHA as a whole. Both the RCC's and the Executive Board make up the General Assembly, the governing branch of IRHA.
It is the responsibility of each RCC to raise the concerns of their residents to the General Assembly and any other proper authority, as well as provide programming to improve the social, physical, and any other aspect or residential life.
Each RCC is composed of the following positions:

Residential Community Council (RCC) Position Descriptions:
It is the responsibly of the President to develop an agenda for each weekly RCC meeting as well as attend and conduct all of those meetings.
He/ She shall meet weekly with the Executive Board President to assess their RCC’s progress and discuss any plans or ideas of the RCC and area residents.
The President is also responsible for submitting program/budget requests for approval.
Semester reports and program evaluations are to be submitted by each deadline.
He/ She shall delegate and supervise the work of his/her RCC officers, specialists, representatives and governors to insure successful programs and deadlines are met.
He/ she shall attend all weekly General Assembly meetings.
The President shall assume ultimate responsibility for his/her respective RCC.
The Vice President shall assume all responsibilities of the president in his/her absence.
He/ She will assist the President in duties as needed.
He/ She shall meet weekly with the Executive Board Vice President to assess their RCC’s progress and discuss any plans or ideas of the RCC.
He/ She is expected to attend and actively participate in weekly RCC meetings and assist the RCC with all events.
He/ she shall attend all weekly General Assembly meetings.
The Secretary shall accurately record, type, and publish all minutes from all RCC meetings to IRHA Community.
All minutes should be emailed to all RCC members, the Executive Assistant and the Director of Communications within one week of the meeting.
He/ She shall keep a record or all correspondence received and sent by his/her RCC.
He/ She shall meet weekly with the Executive Board Executive Assistant to assess their RCC’s progress and discuss any plans or ideas of the RCC.
He/ She is expected to attend and actively participate in weekly RCC meetings and assist the RCC with all events.
He/ she shall attend all weekly General Assembly meetings.
The programming specialist will serve as the coordinator of RCC programs.
The specialist will serve a member of the Programming Board and assist in executing programs.
He/ She shall meet weekly with the Executive Board Director of Programming Executive Assistant to assess their RCC’s progress and discuss any plans or ideas of the RCC.
He/ She is expected to attend and actively participate in weekly RCC meetings and assist the RCC with all events.
He/ she shall attend all weekly General Assembly meetings.
Student Affairs Representative
The Student Affairs Representative will be an active member of the Student Affairs Board.
His/ Her focus shall be to on the Relationship and collaboration between the RCC and other university offices and organizations.
He/ She shall meet weekly with the Executive Board Director of Student Affairs to assess their RCC’s progress and discuss any plans or ideas of the RCC.
He/ She is expected to attend and actively participate in weekly RCC meetings and assist the RCC with all events.
He/ she shall attend all weekly General Assembly meetings.
The specialist is responsible for publicizing each of his/ her RCC’s events with the goal of attracting the maximum possible amount of residents for each event.
As a member of the marketing board he/she will also assist in creating and distributing material around campus.
He/ She shall meet weekly with the Executive Board Director of Marketing to assess their RCC’s progress and discuss any plans or ideas of the RCC.
He/ She is expected to attend and actively participate in weekly RCC meetings and assist the RCC with all events.
He/ she shall attend all weekly General Assembly meetings.
Each floor governor serves as a
liaison from the hall residents to the RCC.
He/ She will work in coordination with his/her RCC to maintain satisfaction of all residents.
He/ She shall meet weekly with the Executive Board Director of Communications to assess their RCC’s progress and discuss any ideas of residents.
He/ She is expected to attend and actively participate in weekly RCC meetings and assist the RCC with all events.
